I work in a medium called art quilts.

My quilts are inspired by the city with all its haphazard layers and fragments of visual

communication, alluding to the passing of time.

I was a journalist before I became an artist, and text and lettering continue to be present

in my work. Where as I before was chasing the daily news, I am now primarily searching

for traces of 'old news'. Through my walks in the city I collect street-memories in the

form of torn posters, faded advertisements and cryptic graffiti. I photograph, paint, screen

print and stitch these remnants of communication and wonder about the traces we leave behind ......
