I work in a medium called art quilts.

My quilts are inspired by the city with all its haphazard layers and fragments of visual communication, alluding to the passing of time.

My photographs of city walls with faded words, tattered posters, flashy advertisements and bold graffiti are my direct source of inspiration, which can clearly be seen in the series 'Letter Landscapes', 'Downtown', 'Whitewash' and 'White Walls'.

Since i have lived in several different countries, I am fascinated by words and languages.

I was a journalist before I became an artist, so text and lettering are always present in my work.

I enjoy working on big pieces, but I also work on pieces as small as 4"x5" (10x12 cm) in order to maintain a spontaneous and intimate quality in my work.
